A GREAT DAY OUT

Babbacombe Model Village is set in an area of outstanding natural beauty and one of the prettiest parts of the English Riviera, now accepted by UNESCO as a Global Geopark. 

A visit to the Model Village can easily be combined with the Babbacombe Downs offering its famous stunning views across Lyme bay. On a clear day you can see across to Weymouth & Portland. Don't miss the cliff railway to Oddicombe beach. We are also next to the famous south west coast path for walks with breathtaking views.  

If it's warm and sunny you may want to spend some time on the beautiful Oddicombe beach along with a visit to us. Maybe combine a summer evening visit to us with dinner from the award-winning Hanbury's Fish and Chip shop, just off the downs, or a drink sitting outside at the beautiful Cary Arms right by the sea.

If the weather is inclement, within walking distance is the St. Marychurch shopping precinct offering a variety of interesting and individual shops to suit all tastes. You might like to combine a visit to us with the Bygones Victorian street museum, just around the corner, an evening show at the Babbacombe Theatre, or Kents Cavern prehistoric caves are a 1.5 mile drive from us.

All these attractions are within a few minutes walk (Kents Cavern 5 mins drive) from the Model Village. It is easy to spend anything from a couple of hours with us, up to a full day in the area.
