A GREAT DAY OUT FOR GROUPSBabbacombe Model Village is set in an place of outstanding natural beauty and one of the prettiest areas on the English Riviera. A visit to the Model Village can easily be combined with the Babbacombe Downs offering its famous stunning views and the cliff railway to Oddicombe beach. The Babbacombe Theatre and award-winning Hanbury's Fish and Chip shop are close by too.
Also within walking distance is the St. Marychurch shopping precinct offering a variety of traditional and individual shops. Bygones Victorian street museum is just around the corner.
All these sights can be accessed from the car park adjacent to the model village and are just a few minutes walk. It is easy to spend anything from a couple of hours up to a full day in the area.
SCHOOL GROUPSA visit to Babbacombe Model Village provides a fun and educational journey through the last five decades of English life and culture. This gives children a fun insight into the sights and activities of their parents and grandparents life through the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s to present day. Stepping further back in time the model village has model buildings with many archtectural styles from medieval, through Shakespearean, to Victorian, offering an informative insight into our history. Activity books are vailable free for each child for school group visits. They have a direct link to the national curriculum and are an ideal source of information and fun for students, teachers and parents. Available for Key stages one and two. These will compliment your visit to the Model Village back in the classroom. £5.50 per child.
